Dear Jacob,
Well it is the day before the big day.
Pregnant mothers typically get an overwhelming urge to clean the house prior to going into labor. Apparently this is due to hormone changes as her body prepares for the big event. There is a term for it: Nesting.
Well it turns out that the geeky tech-dad get his own overwhelming urge within a few hours of the birth of his child: the need to create a blog for his as-yet unborn kid.
So here it is Jacob: happy birthday. You'll look back on this day...well who are we kidding, you won't remember this day. Neither will your mom really, again, due to hormones - these particular hormones make her forget the experience so that she'll be willing to go though it again.
But I'll remember, and thanks to the crazy interwebs, you'll get to see how things went down too.
